DCP EJEDAWE COMMENDS AIG DUROSIMI ON CRIME-FIGHTING PROWESS IN ZONE 2

The Deputy Commissioner of police (DPC) Patrick Ejedawe, Zone 2 police command, DCP in charge of operation, has lauded the efforts of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Olatoye Durosimi in combating crime in zone 2 command. DCP Fjedawe made the commendation at the zone 2 Onikan headquarters Lagos while speaking to City Express News in an exclusive interview on Friday 16th August 2024. Dcp Patrick Ejedawe, was highlighting the score cards of retired assistant inspector General of police AIG Olatoye Durosimi. According to Patrick Ejedawe who is very close to AIG Durosimi. He said that the retired AIG Olatoye Durosimi is a practical, gallant senior police officer, who performed his role as an Assistant Inspector General of Police without compromise for any cases and recorded many successes in the process. Filling the leadership vacuum of AIG Durosimi will be very difficult. He described his boss as having been one of the busiest AIG in zone 2. He had a heavy agenda of responsibilities and a strenuous daily schedule in office. He always come to office early in the morning at 8:am and close at 9:pm everyday even he penetrate the complexity of the myriad problems bedeviling every challenges in zone2 command, comprises Lagos and Ogun State. He remained focused on the objectives for fighting crime and criminality in the zone 2. The police officers in zone 2 commands are very impressed by the ability of AIG Durosimi and his administrative acumen. Ejedawe noted that AIG Durosimi is a father, mentor and a good friend to every police officer in zone2. He said his administration unflinching commitments to maximizing the operational intelligence and investigative capacities in curbing the spread of crime and criminality within the zone 2 command.

He specifically acknowledges the achievement recorded via identification, training and arrest of criminals, suspect at the zone 2 command. But, he has remained determinedly silent of his retirement till the day came and gone. I appeal to every police officer and every one to pray for him by the grace of God for his long life. We celebrate him as he retire on the 19th day of August, 2024.
