Transportation sector as a gateway towards economy transformation will continue to be one of the key priorities of the present administration.
The government recognizing that without effective transportation the economy will not grow has therefore pledged to link the seaports with accessible roads.
These are the words of the Minister of Transportation Senator Ahmed Alkali while speaking at the presentation of an award plaque and commemorative journal presented to him by the Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island.
The Minister receiving the award and plague, flanked on the left is the Acting Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr. Ben Iloanusi.
Receiving the plaque and summit journal from the Chairman of the Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria, Mr. Adeyinka Aderibigbe, the Minister said President Bola Tinubu has also granted approval for the construction of six ports terminals and roads.
The Minister who was appreciative of the award by the Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) pledged to continue partnership with the association to move the transportation sector and the nation forward.
The presentation was witnessed by the Acting Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr. Ben Iloanusi.
